Matabishi Bumba Muke “Knowing the English language opens a door to the future and to new horizons, communicated in English, even at an elementary level, is now very useful for all refugees, even essential.

The number of refugees who speak English is increasing year by year in Uganda. Today, nearly one in six refugees speaks English in the Sweswe area thanks to our English program, we support each other overnight because English is of all the languages of the world the one spoken by the greatest number of people in addition to the mother tongue.
In addition, English is used in the majority of international telephone conversations, postal mail, e-mails, radio broadcasts, computer-processed texts. So, without a basic knowledge of English, you may find yourself silenced yet there is nothing magical about speaking English.”
