Job Description
The Muke Society is looking for volunteers to run reception centers for refugee children and young people.
To do this, the reception volunteer's mission is to:
Welcome with a smile and kindness those who arrive at the youth center to register and inform them of the functioning of the Juenes Muke Center,
Inform visitors, or even redirect them to the competent structures if necessary,
Answer the phone,
Ensure that everyone who crosses the threshold of the center is welcomed and listened to, unconditionally.
Each reception lasts 4 or 5 hours, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
We need people to hold the reception:
Tuesday morning (9am-1pm)
Wednesday morning (9am-1pm)
Friday morning (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
Or as reinforcement on an ad hoc basis!
The reception is located near the director's offices.
Terms
Have a sense of listening, benevolence
Be an organized and rigorous person
Be comfortable in a multicultural context and speak at least English
Be comfortable with computers
About the Muke Company
The Muke Society is a non-profit organization created in 2020 by Matabishi Bumba Muke with the aim of helping refugee children and young people living in the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement camp in Uganda.
Our actions revolve around the well-being of refugee children and young people without distinction of any kind, be it race, color, sex, language, religion, political opinions, national or social origin, property, birth, gender identity or other status, and strive to improve their quality of life.
We believe in maintaining, restoring and honoring the dignity and worth of every refugee child and youth.
